As much as I appreciate the notion that we’re now in Gay Wrath month, what I’m really looked forward to are Gay Gluttony and Gay Sloth months.

Why must people contribute to #accessibility hell? I just saw a work email that was printed onto university leaderhead, signed, and then scanned and sent out as an image PDF. So of course, no text for a screenreader to pick up on. We have plenty of students that use screenreaders. Even those of us that don't can see that this just looks stupid.

So I really like the podcast Conversations With People Who Hate Me. It’s.. very difficult to listen to at times, but I find it to be top notch “good work” so to speak. The most recent episode however really left me unsettled, more so than most by far. Basically it hit home a reminder that even guys that insist they’re “anti-rape” will likely take a very defensive posture in any real life situation. Insisting it’s worse to label a guy a rapist than it is to call a rape victim a liar.

So the D&D game last night was a lot of fun. The new player fit in nicely, which wasn't unexpected but still reassuring! We're also mostly through the intro adventure for Curse of Strahd. So now onto the more open ended meat of the matter.

5e game tonight. First game with a coworker we’re bringing in too. Hopefully he’s as fun out of work as during.

When I see my doctor in August she’s gonna ask me if I’m ready to talk about going off of my anti-anxiety medication and I’m just going to laugh like a lunatic.

I picked up Outlast 1 & 2 for the #Switch. I never finished the Whistleblower and I’ve been wanting to play the sequel. I think my husband is already mad at me for it. I might jump a little easy. First person games in general, horror games double so. (I can be a pansy even in Minecraft if I’m in a deep cave system.)

Just did this as a reply elsewhere, but it bears repeating. Nothing screams “I come from privilege” quite like “Why don’t you guys just wait patiently for equality?”

As if the later has ever worked for anyone. Also as someone that recently got married and couldn’t have without folks fighting for it. You know, thanks folks that truly give a shit.
