tfw the Eternal Emperor kills you with a................ campfire I guess
KOTET chapter 8
I just killed Vaylin (ish) ffs give me back my favorite pirate baby and cute level 50 apprentice baby
(Khem Val can come too I guess lmao)
(I don't care about him but am very offended I can get some random Dashade but not *my* Dashade I *know* that one we have a long relationship of him trying to eat me)
My newest boy, currently playing him right now, is Rexelen. Sith Warrior, human, Carnage Marauder, Light I right now and I'm guessing he'll make III by the end. I've seen this class story already because I tagged along with my friend's SW when we played SWTOR for the first time, but it's been fun to put my own spin on it! It's rare for me to play a nobleman character, but Rex was born into privilege: respected Moff father, famous scholar Darth mother. His was as you can imagine a pretty loveless home where perfection was expected of him at all times, and Rex is never sure whether to be grateful or resentful that he turned out to be strong in the Force, because he definitely considers himself to be Sith only by pure accident of birth. He's a pretty personable guy who really embodies "you catch more flies with honey", and continually weirds out his Imperial subordinates by being unfailingly polite and always choosing talk before violence lol -- though he does have his limits in terms of how far you can safely piss him off. He gets along great with Vette, and enjoys trying to be friends with Quinn while tweaking him here and there. And though he really wants to make things better for the little people in the Empire, he does consider it the lesser evil -- having grown up hearing all the propaganda about the Republic he's pretty well convinced it seems like a disorganized, corrupt place where average folks have it even worse. The Jedi, however, he finds intriguing.
Around the time I created Kymmel I finally noticed I had way too many K names, but Can't Stop Won't Stop I guess!!! 👍 He's a Smuggler, human, Sawbones Scoundrel, Light I through some concentrated effort to try to be neutral lol. I completed the Smuggler story just recently, wasn't the hugest fan but I did really love the main cast of companions so that was nice. And... the scar on Kymmel's face connects to the backstory I gave him: before becoming a smuggler he was a pretty naive kid living on a war-torn Imperial-conquered world. He fell in love with a guy in the Imperial army, and really thought they would have a happy life together up until it turned out the guy was just using him to infiltrate Kymmel's workplace at the time to grab some big assets for the Empire and leave Kymmel himself as the fall guy. The whole thing ended in a big bloody fight, with the Imperial dead and Kymmel barely escaping with his own life, getting that scar for his trouble... and afterward deciding he'd never trust so lightly again. You can imagine how he felt about it when he learned Darmas and Dodonna had been playing him the entire time. 🙃 They did not survive the end of the story lol. He did eventually learn to trust Risha despite her deceptions, but it took a long time. Being very admiring of Akaavi's person, work ethic, and general way of life, he got very sweet on her pretty fast and they ended up getting together.
Khatiz was the first character I made and completed after coming back from my long break, so, just in the last few weeks. Also my only female toon. She's a Republic Trooper, Iridonian Zabrak, Combat Medic Commando, Light II. She doesn't have much in the way of backstory but uhhhhh I pretty much spent her entire class story just enjoying her audiovisually speaking. I think I did pretty good design wise, and Jennifer Hale basically reprises her Femshep performance here and is quite good at it. I just like hot butches ok???? lol
Aside from being big gay (I was deeply amused to have the RP opportunity to keep shooting down that SIS agent during the story), Khatiz is a pretty no-nonsense professional who's focused on getting things done most of the time, but she will put herself in quite a bit of extra harm's way to save a life -- both for the principle of the thing and because she's a pretty big thrillseeker, one of the reasons she chose the army is definitely for the action. She eventually got to be pretty good (if headbutting) friends with Aric Jorgan during the story, and had a huge crush on her second in command Elara Dorne.
Kylland is a Jedi Consular, Miraluka, Seer Sage, Dark III. I'm aware this is a v unpopular opinion lmao but after the Agent, Consular is probably my fave story. The characters are just kind of okay, but I love the political bullshit of the 2nd half and really enjoyed the journey of Kylland himself. As you might have noticed by all my light side Imps, I'm someone who really enjoys playing against type, and for a long time Kylland was my only Republic char bc I found it hard to hit on a way to make Pub side interesting for me. But with him I decided: well, what about the story of a Jedi who falls to corruption, that should be pretty fun to RP right? Kylland was a Force prodigy from a young age, even more than most Miraluka, so he was given to the Temple early but -- of course, nobody ever asks young Jedi in training for their consent to be ripped away from their homes. Kylland didn't want to be a Jedi and that resentment has colored his whole life and career. But he does believe in getting shit done which other people simply don't have the skill to do, and (un)luckily for him, he's smart and talented enough to be able to hide his advancing slide into the dark side from his superiors. His methods always *just* straddle the line of acceptability to where nobody's been able to call him out for bad behavior... yet anyway... He's very much the embodiment of "well since none of you assholes are competent enough to save the day, guess it's my job to go do it, AGAIN."
This is Kithi'anrha (Kithian Rha, nickname Kith), Imperial Agent, Twi'lek, Medic Operative, Light I. Like a lot of people, Agent is probably my favorite of the class stories, and though it's been years since I picked up Kith I'm still very very fond of him. Being an alien Agent is extra fun I feel like -- I gave Kith a pretty colorful backstory, he fled a bad home life on Ryloth young and was an ex-pirate and enforcer for Cartel spice runners before getting boarded and arrested by Imperials, after which Intelligence came around to make him an offer he couldn't refuse. Even with Imperial indoctrination he was loosely loyal at best, and after the whole mess with SIS -- and with the Sith closing in on Intelligence, having a very personal distrust of Sith in particular -- he was quite happy to take the Codex for himself and wash his hands of the whole "working for an agency" business. I've heard the expansion stories are interesting on an Agent, but idk if I'll ever go back on him because he was definitely pleased to transition to the life of a freewheeling independent operator. I imagine he and my friend's Imperial Agent are out there these days cheerily whirling around the galaxy out for themselves getting filthy rich.
Qassach was my second character way back when I first picked up SWTOR in like 2015. Bounty Hunter, Rattataki, Bodyguard Merc I think lol, Light II or III. Been a minute since I looked at this guy :p I found the Bounty Hunter story to be just okay (although it was better than the terrible Sith Inq story, I like the class and character very much in spite of the story lol) but Qassach himself might be the character on my roster I'm aesthetically most pleased with. Rattataki just look really nice ok. Qas is a pretty simple and down to earth guy who likes simple things: credits, looking out for his friends, and blowing stuff up lol. He comes from the Nar Shaddaa undercity originally, and outside of the canon class storyline, one of his reasons for going into bounty hunting in his youth was to search for his big brother who was kidnapped and sold into slavery offworld.
I spent literally 5 years trying to find a good outfit for him on and off when I would reinstall this game, but guys I hate all of the bounty hunter armor lmao...
This is Archeval! Sith Inquisitor, human, Corruption Sorc, Light V. Technically he's Darth Imperius but that's a stupid name lol so my headcanon Darth name for him is Vocivan. He's my SWTOR main and first character. Technically I guess he's Archeval Nakh'an because that's my legacy name and he came first, but being an ex-slave from a family line of slaves I imagine he's not actually aware of having a surname.
Arche is a cranky angry bastard with a chip on his shoulder, but he secretly has a soft spot for helping people and holds no love for the Empire whatsoever, being the people who ravaged his homeworld the Outer Rim backwater of Kel Vakkar. (I made up a whole planet and cultural background literally just to explain my choice of the padawan braid hair for a Sith character lmao, at the time I started playing I didn't like any of the other hairs.) To this day he finds it hilarious that a guy like him could possibly end up with a seat on the Dark Council and he uses it to push through what reforms he can manage without getting eaten alive by the other Councilors. I'm deeply fond of the concept of a Sith who's not just a necromancer but actually even a healer. Once I've finally made legendary I'm headed back to Arche to do the expansion stories at last.
