apparently talking about US-centrism on the internet is wrong because It's An American Website, Deal With It?

like no, that's so fucking arrogant i can't believe it. totally misunderstanding the point too, because what I mean when I talk about US centrism is how the US is assumed to be the default and everything needs to conform to an American frame of reference.

like people post """resources""" and it's US only. talk about LGBT+ communities in a very speficic manner that I don't even know whether it exists outside certain American universities. or how they don't understand that healthcare *is* a basic human right, or that liberals really aren't in any way leftists.

basically everything has to appeal to American sensibilities and idiosyncrasies or it'll just get ignored, or worse yelled at. that is what US-centrism refers to and why it's so fucked up.
