Results, combining the Twitter and Mastodon answers and minus the "see results" responses.

About 20% of 296 respondents said they either "spoiled" the question or left if blank.

There were only 20 intersex respondents, but about 30% of them spoiled it or left it blank.

There are just three days to go on the Gender Census, and here's where we're at:

- 43,000 participants 😲
- 12% are age 31+
- 68% are from Tumblr, Twitter or Discord

Can you share the survey link anywhere new, or with people over the age of 25?

It's day 20, we're well over halfway through, and a couple of days ago we went over 41,000 responses. :) We're getting 200-300 entries per day, still. Not too shabby!

Things have calmed down a little bit now, as you can see from the attached graphs. We're just heading towards 39,000 in a leisurely manner.

I wrote an email to the subscribers on our TinyLetter, telling them that we reached 30,000 responses (it's actually at 31,000 now, gosh) and giving them some nice graphs to nerd about:

Here's how things looked at the end of day 6 with >28,000 responses!

I am genuinely quite nervous that I'll run out of space on this Google Sheet...

Almost 7,000 participants now, and I've pulled together a spreadsheet so that you call can see how it's going and to compare to the response rate from previous years!

We're only two days in so the line is very short, but - it's the red one on the left.

The eighth annual international Gender Census 2021 is now open until 10th March!

It's for anyone whose genders (or lack thereof) aren't described by the M/F binary. It's short and easy, and the results are useful in academia, business and self-advocacy.

Now that the site is hosted in a better way, I can tell you about such delightful details as:

Today, more people have visited from the Netherlands than from any other country. Hi, the Netherlands!

And another! We're onto the penultimate goal, and the biggest stretch - £480 for the custom survey question design.

30 generous patrons so far!

Happy / !

We posted our report on the pronouns question of the international 2020 Gender Census (>24,000 participants) recently:

The most popular pronoun among binary-defying respondents was singular they at 78%.

We recently went over £100 annually on Patreon, and we're now over halfway to funding the actual survey itself (software and hosting). 🎉 Thank you everyone!

We have now more than doubled the previous record, with well over 22,600 responses!

I'm going to take a couple of days off before the survey closes, since my health hasn't been great lately. Thank you everyone so much for sharing!
