It bugs me that GRS Montreal offers no concrete information about marijuana and cannabis use for before or after surgery. They are very specific about the timelines around tobacco and alchohol, but literally don’t say anything about cannabis.
I can return to drinking 3 weeks after surgery, smoking after 8 weeks.
But it literally doesn’t mention anything like that for cannabis anywhere in the documentation.
Its just inconsistent and frustrating.

“As no study has confirmed a safe threshold for cannabis use during the preoperative and postoperative periods, the safest approach is not to consume any. If you use cannabis to relieve a health problem, please discuss this with your surgeon.”
K but I tried to discuss it with my surgeon and he waved at me and moved on
