do i want to run the risks? no.

do i want to magically have a body part that aligns with who i am? yes.

do i know exactly who i am or what i need my body to be? no.

if you could go back and decide to have surgery again or not, would you? how come?

Was it worth the disruption to your life for the surgery recovery? was it worth the expenses? worth the uncertainty?

re: looking for input from people who have neovaginas/have had GRS

@eclectic I'm currently less than a month post op from GRS Montréal (Brassard) and despite not really knowing if it all works or not I would say it was easily worth it. The dysphoria went away instantly and hasn't been back since. It all feels so normal now.

@eclectic Personally it was entirely worth it. It’s isn’t perfect, but that’s how bodies are, and I’m very happy and proud of my body.

I wasn’t very worried about complications and stuff because I knew I needed it anyway (wanted it strongly), but obviously it depends on what you want, and you’d want to do research to find a good surgeon.

I had the chance to have the financial stability and opportunity to have it, and I would do it again (even though hospital was really though for me in comparison to other people who had the same surgery).
