if i died in 911 i'd be the most pissed ghost in the world as i watched the event spur extreme nationalism and cultlike behavior across the country instead of any real respect for my death

nobody talks about how the 2000s were akin to hitler's germany in their heights of extreme and dangerous national pride
you'd get fucking beat to a pulp in a middle school hallway for not SuPpOrTiNg ThE tRoOpS, and to say that this cult of america worship was unjust would alienate you from society as a whole

we talk about how it's more common than ever these days to be a literal actual nazi, but i feel like the american government's spin on 911 produced an entirely new brand of American Nazi that was much, much more numerous
i kinda feel like that's why we're so accepting of nazis "opinions" now - we used to have practically the same ones. And generally still kinda do.

sometimes i think most modern nazis became that way because they were of impressionable age during the War of American Terrorism, and that mega overloaded nationalism became "what the world is supposed to be like" to them.
